Moss Agate Thunderegg - Item R02085

Thundereggs are agate-filled, and sometimes crystal filled, nodules found in various parts of the Western United States. This is also the official state rock of Oregon. This thunderegg is from the Moss Agate Beds at the Richardson Ranch in Oregon. This piece has a solid agate center. The agate area is clear and allows you to see into the stone which really sets off the moss in the agate.

This piece has been high speed sanded which gives it a high shine. The specimen weighs 4 1/8 oz and is approx. 2 5/8 inches wide and 1 3/4 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches thick at it's thickest point.
