Thundereggs are agate-filled, and sometimes crystal filled, nodules found in various parts of the Western United States. This is also the official state rock of Oregon. This thunderegg is from the Richardson Ranch in Oregon. This Thunderegg half has a solid brecciated agate center. A nice specimen to add to your collection.
This piece has been high speed sanded which gives it a high shine. The weight of this specimen is 2 7/8 oz and is approx. 1 3/4 inches wide and 2 inches tall and 1 inch thick.
