Lake Superior Agate - Item R02624

$17.50

This piece of Lake Superior Agate ranges in color from white to dark brown. This specimen has a nice banding pattern and has a small solid crystal area.

Like many stones, fractures are visible which attests to the severe environment that this specimen was in. Lake Superior Agates were worn out of their host rock by the many glaciers that moved through this area during the ice ages. These glaciers pulverized the surrounding basalt and freed the agate.

This stone has been tumbled. The stone weighs 1 1/8 ozs and is approx. 1 inch wide and 1 inch tall and 1 inch deep (at its thickest point).

A display base comes with the purchase of this item.
