This piece of Lake Superior Agate ranges in color from white to gray. A very beautiful agate.
Like many stones, fractures are visible which attests to the severe environment that this specimen was in. Lake Superior Agates were worn out of their host rock by the many glaciers that moved through this area during the ice ages. These glaciers pulverized the surrounding basalt and freed the agate.
This stone has been tumbled. The stone weighs 1 ozs and is approx. 1 7/8 inches wide and 7/8 inches tall and 3/4 inches deep (at its thickest point).
