Thundereggs are agate-filled, and sometimes crystal filled, nodules found in various parts of the Western United States. This is also the official state rock of Oregon. This double thunderegg is from the Richardson Ranch in Oregon and has a moss agate interior (one side is solid moss agate and the other has some moss agate around a blue agate center).
This piece has been high speed sanded which gives it a high shine. This specimen weighs approx. 8 3/8 oz and is approx. 4 1/8 inches wide and 2 1/4 inches tall and 1 3/8 inches thick at its thickest point.
