Thundereggs are agate-filled, and sometimes crystal filled, nodules found in various parts of the Western United States. This is also the official state rock of Oregon. This thunderegg is from the Richardson Ranch in Oregon and has a moss agate interior.
This piece has been high speed sanded which gives it a high shine. This specimen weighs approx. 6 3/4 oz and is approx. 2 3/4 inches wide and 2 7/8 inches tall and 1 1/8 inches thick at its thickest point.
