Thundereggs are agate-filled, and sometimes crystal filled, nodules found in various parts of the Western United States. This is also the official state rock of Oregon. This thunderegg is from the Moss Agate Bed at the Richardson Ranch in Oregon. This specimen has beautiful moss agate in green and red. There is also a small area of waterline banding and clear agate which allows you to see down into the stone. This stone will be a great addition to your collection.
This piece has been high speed sanded which gives it a high shine. The weight of this specimen is 14 5/8 oz and is approx. 4 3/4 inches wide and 3 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches thick at its thickest point.
