This piece of Lake Superior Agate ranges in color from brown to light gray.
Like many stones, fractures are visible which attests to the severe environment that this specimen was in. Lake Superior Agates were worn out of their host rock by the many glaciers that moved through this area during the ice ages. These glaciers pulverized the surrounding basalt and freed the agate.
This piece was cut in half and has been tumbled. The total weight of both halves is 1/2 oz and are approx. 1 1/4 inch wide and 1/2 inch tall and 1/2 inch deep (at its thickest point).
Pieces come in a white box. No display stands come with these specimens.
