Agate Nodule - R02765

This Agate Nodule was picked up at the Richardson Rock Ranch between 1979 - 1981 from the Goody Pile.
The Goody Pile is just an area where they dump odds and ends material that you can pick through and buy. You never know what you will find in this area. These nodules were uncut when my dad got them. I have been slowing going through and cutting this material. I believe some of these nodules are Laguna Agate. The coloring and pattern of this specimen is very similar to some of the Laguna Agate that I have cut. Laguna Agate comes from the state of Chihuahua in Mexico and comes in a wide variety of colors and patterns. It is one of the most beautiful agates to work with. The agate has colors ranging from light pink to dark gray and has a very beautiful pattern. The material around the agate is very porous. This would be a good addition to your collection.

This specimen has been high speed sanded which gives it a high shine. The weight of the specimen is 2 5/8 oz. and is approx. 2 1/2 inches wide and 1 3/4 inches tall and 1 inch thick.
